How to Get to Condado Lagoon and Parking

Condado Lagoon sits right in San Juan between the Condado and Miramar neighborhoods, so getting there is easy. The only real question is parking.

Here is how to get to Condado Lagoon from the airport, cruise port, and Old San Juan, plus where to park.

Where the lagoon is

Condado Lagoon (Laguna del Condado) is the sheltered saltwater lagoon behind Ashford Avenue in Condado. The kayak and SUP launches sit near the Dos Hermanos bridge.

It is central, so most visitors are 10 to 20 minutes away wherever they stay in San Juan.

From the airport (SJU)

San Juan Airport is about 15 minutes by car or rideshare. Uber and taxis are easy and cost roughly 15 to 25 dollars to Condado.

If you have a rental car, follow signs to Condado and aim for Ashford Avenue.

From the cruise port

The Old San Juan cruise terminals are 10 to 15 minutes from the lagoon by rideshare. A taxi runs about 15 to 20 dollars.

This makes a Condado Lagoon kayak or SUP an easy half day for cruise passengers with time in port.

From Old San Juan and Isla Verde

Old San Juan is a short 10 minute ride. Isla Verde is about 15 minutes the other direction. Both are simple rideshare trips.

Walking is realistic only if you are already staying in Condado itself.

Parking near the lagoon

Street parking near Ashford Avenue is limited and metered. There are paid lots and garages in Condado a short walk from the launches.

Honestly, rideshare is the least stressful option. Skip the parking hunt and get dropped at the lagoon.

Condado Lagoon is central in San Juan, 15 minutes from the airport and 10 to 15 from the cruise port and Old San Juan. Parking is tight, so rideshare is the easiest way to arrive.
